Coalmont Little Free Library

The Little Free Library organization’s purpose is to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.

In 2012 we decided to install a Little Free Library in Coalmont.  Located on the corner of our property at Main and Parrish, our library is housed in an old refrigerator.  The refrigerator was rescued from the Princeton dump and was cleaned and repurposed into a weather-proof little library that everyone is welcome to use.

People are encouraged to take a book and leave a book (if they have one to leave).  The books and magazines in our library are always changing so you never know what you will find in it.  Because the library is outside, books are available 24/7, all year long.

When you are in the area, we hope you will take advantage of our Little Free Library and enjoy some of the reading material in it.

The Coalmont Little Free Library was placed in memory of Diane’s dear friend Lisa Homer, a librarian, who passed away in 2005.

In 2013 the Little Free Library organization decided to hold a Little Free Library “Film Festival”.  Below is the Coalmont Little Free Library’s entry to the festival.
